65nm Advanced Technology

GLOBALFOUNDRIES has been manufacturing 65nm products since the second quarter of 2007, and with over 125,000 65nm wafers shipped in 2009 alone, GLOBALFOUNDRIES is considered one of the industry's foundry leaders in advanced process technology production. Production for bulk and SOI has reached process maturity with D0 consistently below 0.10 defect/inch2/layer based upon the Bose-Einstein model.

As a founding member of the Common Platform, GLOBALFOUNDRIES has enabled 65G and 65LPe with a comprehensive suite of design enablements. From physical design kits (PDKs), libraries, memory compilers, Analog-Mixed Signal IPs, SERDES, DDR bus interfaces, and 3rd party EDA reference flows; GLOBALFOUNDRIES has taken a comprehensive approach to providing platform based solutions to facilitate a customer's SoC design. The concept of consumer choice and flexibility continues to resonate at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, as our approach continues to be a leverage of leading 3rd party providers for design enablement solutions. Having one of the most comprehensive silicon validation programs in the industry, GLOBALFOUNDRIES works closely with each one of its IP partners to ensure high quality deliverables. Additional steps taken such as proprietary Design Kit regression testing and a GlobalShuttle (MPW) program to facilitate IP characterization are part of the overall program to minimize risks for for customers when designing to the GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology platforms.

In addition to the standard logic process offering, GLOBALFOUNDRIES offers Value Added Solution (VAS) process modules that allows customers to differentiate their product offering through value added process features, such as embedded memories, RF devices and high voltage devices.

GLOBALFOUNDRIES's 65nm process offering includes logic (G and LPe), mixed signal and RFCMOS.
