GLOBALFOUNDRIES honors JSR Micro N.V. with Pathfinder Award as World Class Supplier of the Year 2008


 
Four suppliers awarded - new global foundry company
continues long-standing tradition


 Dresden, Germany — June 11, 2009 — GLOBALFOUNDRIES, the new leading-edge semiconductor foundry company formed by a joint venture between AMD [NYSE: AMD] and Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC), today announced its World Class Suppliers of the Year 2008.

JSR Micro N.V., a Belgian supplier for semiconductor materials, has been recognized with the Pathfinder Award for outstanding overall support and commitment to GLOBALFOUNDRIES in jointly developing and supplying photo resists.

GLOBALFOUNDRIES also awarded three other suppliers with Achievement Awards for superior supplier performance to GLOBALFOUNDRIES: AZ Electronic Materials (Germany), Soitec S.A. (France), and Solvay GmbH (Germany).

There are two levels of awards achievable: the Pathfinder Award for World Class overall support and commitment leading to consistent best in class performance across all key areas, followed by the Achievement Award for superior performance based on a sustained high level of service and the drive to continuously improve product quality, technology capability and cost.
