Alvand Technologies has developed an advanced MIMO Analog Front-end IP solution using GLOBALFOUNDRIES' advanced 40nm process technology. The 2x2 MIMO subsystem IP solutions is a low power, ultra compact wireless AFE. It consists of two 12-bit IQ ADC cores, two 12-bit current-steering IQ DAC cores, one 10-bit auxiliary ADC, one 10-bit auxiliary DAC and a PLL. This sub-system IP belongs to our family of MIMO offerings, many of which are silicon proven and currently in mass production.

Our MIMO AFE is designed for integration into LTE SoC (system-on-chip) solutions. Embraced by wireless carriers in North America and Europe as a next-generation standard that supports data rates up to 320 Mbps, market research firms anticipate there will be 115 million LTE subscribers by 2014. This IP is easy to integrate and is ideal for the following applications:

Our MIMO IP architecture is robust and can be operated across a broad range of supply voltages and temperatures. It is designed to accommodate substrate noise that may be generated once the IP is integrated into a unique silicon implementation. Technical teams from Alvand Technologies and GLOBALFOUNDRIES have worked closely together to develop accurate EDA views and detailed documentation to make sure the MIMO IP is easily integrated into your SoC.

In addition to the above IP, Alvand have a rich portfolio of Sub-System solutions and mixed signal IPs. They could be easily ported to GLOBALFOUNDRIES Technology.

	Wireless MIMO AFE Platform The 2X2 MIMO IP is a low power, ultra compact wireless AFE. The ultra-low power ADC and the DAC utilize fully differential architectures and provide excellent receive and transmit channel performance.
