The PHY block of High Speed Interface is composed of several precise and high speed operational elements, such as PLL, DLL, and IO buffers. These components are designed and tuned by our highly skilled engineers using complex analog and digital mixed mode circuit design techniques. Implementation of the Link block requires a detailed knowledge of audio and video application algorithms used in the consumer electronics industry and deep RTL design experience for such complex protocols.  Silicon Library brings both of these sets of skills together under one roof.

Silicon Library and GLOBALFOUNDRIES

Silicon Library and GLOBALFOUNDRIES have been working together for several years to make proven Silicon Library solutions available to GLOBALFOUNDRIES customers. Silicon Library has implemented IP solutions for GLOBALFOUNDRIES' 130G, 90G and 65G processes and has recently qualify a design kit for the 55LPe process.  The companies have worked together to make sure that the Silicon Library IP components are robust and function properly across the full range of operating conditions and process variations.

The SLI's HDMI TX IP provides a complete single-link HDMI transmitter function that complies with HDMI specification version 1.3a and 1.4. SLI's HDMI TX IP consists of two modules, a physical layer (SLIPHDT) and a link module (SLISHDMIT). The PHY is upper compatible with a DVI transmitter and is implemented as a hard IP component based on GLOBALFOUNDRIES' 65nmG and 55nmLPe CMOS logic processes, while the link module is implemented as a synthesizable soft IP component. Built-in High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) cipher function protects the transmission of audiovisual contents.

Silicon Library HDMI Receiver IP

The SLI's HDMI Receiver IP provides a complete single-link HDMI receiver function complies with HDMI specification version 1.3a. SLI's HDMI Receiver IP consists of two modules, a physical layer (SLIPHDR) and a link module (SLISHDMIR). The PHY is upper compatible with a DVI receiver and is implemented as a hard IP component based on GLOBALFOUNDRIES' 65nmG CMOS logic process, while the link module is implemented as a synthesizable soft IP component.
