Silicon Library is a leading provider of High Speed Interface semiconductor IP solutions, focusing on the development of HDMI V1.3/V1.4 transmit (TX) and receive (RX) solutions. Silicon Library HDMI IP components are deployed by advanced semiconductor companies around the world looking for standard-compliant HDMI solutions for a broad range of consumer electronics applications. About Silicon Library
Silicon Library is comprised of world-class engineers with experience at several leading Japanese IDMs. Building on their base of proven consumer electronics expertise, these entrepreneurial engineers are dedicated to delivering the highest quality semiconductor IP components to major consumer electronics manufacturers worldwide.
The PHY block of High Speed Interface is composed of several precise and high speed operational elements, such as PLL, DLL, and IO buffers. These components are designed and tuned by our highly skilled engineers using complex analog and digital mixed mode circuit design techniques. Implementation of the Link block requires a detailed knowledge of audio and video application algorithms used in the consumer electronics industry and deep RTL design experience for such complex protocols. Silicon Library brings both of these sets of skills together under one roof.
Unlike other IP providers, Silicon Library provides both Link and PHY functions together as an optimally integrated solution. This provides several advantages to Silicon Library customers:
- Improved performance
- Low power
- Improved IP quality
- Simple single-vendor technical and business interface
- Fewer support problems
- Mass production experience in GLOBALFOUNDRIES
Silicon Library has extensive experience working with the customers to put their SoCs into mass production. Silicon Library and GLOBALFOUNDRIES
Silicon Library has its own experienced test team and test equipment to verify the IP implemented in silicon. Our engineering teams are located in Japan, USA and China in order to support customers directly. Our goal is to satisfy customers by not only delivering high quality IP, but by also providing extensive support for that IP so that it will fit seamlessly into your SOC design.
Silicon Library and GLOBALFOUNDRIES have been working together for several years to make proven Silicon Library solutions available to GLOBALFOUNDRIES customers. Silicon Library has implemented IP solutions for GLOBALFOUNDRIES' 130G, 90G and 65G processes and has recently qualify a design kit for the 55LPe process. The companies have worked together to make sure that the Silicon Library IP components are robust and function properly across the full range of operating conditions and process variations.
Featured Products Silicon Library HDMI Transmitter IP
The SLI's HDMI TX IP provides a complete single-link HDMI transmitter function that complies with HDMI specification version 1.3a and 1.4. SLI's HDMI TX IP consists of two modules, a physical layer (SLIPHDT) and a link module (SLISHDMIT). The PHY is upper compatible with a DVI transmitter and is implemented as a hard IP component based on GLOBALFOUNDRIES' 65nmG and 55nmLPe CMOS logic processes, while the link module is implemented as a synthesizable soft IP component. Built-in High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) cipher function protects the transmission of audiovisual contents. Silicon Library HDMI Receiver IP
The SLI's HDMI Receiver IP provides a complete single-link HDMI receiver function complies with HDMI specification version 1.3a. SLI's HDMI Receiver IP consists of two modules, a physical layer (SLIPHDR) and a link module (SLISHDMIR). The PHY is upper compatible with a DVI receiver and is implemented as a hard IP component based on GLOBALFOUNDRIES' 65nmG CMOS logic process, while the link module is implemented as a synthesizable soft IP component. Built-in High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) cipher function protects the transmission of audiovisual contents.
